Public Garage Banovina
Expanded metal facade panels
In 2024, Metals-Weld carried out facade works on the Public Garage Banovina facility. The project task was the installation of a semi-transparent aluminum cladding with a honeycomb structure in the form of expanded metal panels that, in addition to their aesthetic function, also serve as sun protection while allowing optimal light transmission.

Recently, facades with expanded metal panels have become popular among many architectural firms due to their characteristics and flexibility in application.
They are also called decorative expanded metal panels, which are extremely simple and quick to install. These panels improve the building’s energy efficiency and reduce the need for cooling and lighting systems. At the same time, they provide efficient building ventilation as well as wind protection.

Expanded metal panels ensure privacy while allowing sunlight to enter the building. Metal facades are made from various types of metals and can come in all colors and coatings that can be adapted to architectural requirements as well as the surroundings in which the panels are installed.

These panels can be used for cladding exterior facades but also in indoor spaces for railings, cladding interior walls and ceilings, installation of partitions, and more.

In addition to the metal facade at the Public Garage Banovina facility, our project task included cladding parts of the facade with glass panels, as well as installing interior staircase railings.
