Installation of Metal Vertical Mesh Fences

The company Metals Weld has been engaged by the investor Inobačka d.o.o. for their latest residential project in Novi Sad. The task on this project involves the fabrication and installation of metal fences with vertical mesh elements, designed to complement the building’s modern architectural style.

Vertical mesh fences have stood the test of time, offering both charm and functional versatility in architectural design. They not only add elegance but also provide security.

This type of fencing system ensures durability, security, and aesthetic harmony with minimal maintenance costs. Thanks to its unobtrusive appearance, such fences combine simplicity and functionality, making them easy to integrate into various architectural styles.

According to Serbian regulations and standards related to the safety of building structures—particularly when it comes to protective railings such as those on balconies, staircases, and terraces—it is important to follow this rule: The gap between two vertical bars (picket rails) must not exceed 12 cm (120 mm).

This provision is primarily a safety measure aimed at preventing a child from slipping through the bars. It is also in line with European safety standards, such as EN 1991 and EN 1176, which apply to equipment and fencing in areas where children are present.

The minimum height of railings for residential buildings (e.g., balconies) is typically required to be at least 110 cm. The technical regulations applied in Serbia include the Rulebook on Technical Norms for the Design and Construction of High-Rise Buildings, as well as JUS (now SRPS) standards and harmonized EN standards.

The synergy between the anthracite façade, dark grey windows, and railings gives the entire building a sophisticated and harmonious appearance, while also providing durability and safety in accordance with European standards.

Each railing is precisely crafted and tailored to the specific dimensions of the terraces, maintaining clean lines and an elegant profile that define the building’s exterior.
